So, after last week’s little detour, we are back to chairs, as promised!
We’ve been working on LOTS of commissions lately, which has been lovely – knowing that you’re making something with a home ready and waiting for it is really satisfying. So, an Ercol Jubilee armchair is having a makeover, a pair of Ercol 203 Easy chairs are having new cushions (sent all the way to Scotland when they’re done!) and there’s something involving cow hide and metallics…I’ll say no more…
In amongst all of that, we’ve got this pair of stylish Scandart lounge chairs almost ready to hit the website –
Just a few finishing touches and they’ll be ready to go. The gently shaped cushions have been given fresh new covers in a very pale blue, to contrast with those gorgeous beech wood frames. Scandart were a mid century English furniture company based in High Wycombe (just like Ercol used to be), making high quality furniture based on Scandinavian designs – hence the name! So these chairs combine that beautiful Scandi aesthetic with traditional English craftsmanship, giving you the best of both worlds. The pair will be available this week, so keep your eyes peeled!
It’s a short and sweet blog this week, as I have a bajillion cushions to make, so keep an eye out for new arrivals, and have a great week!
