Woody’s Roundup

Today, I thought I’d write a little round up of what’s been going on at Happy HQ over the last few weeks – that then lead to singing the Woody’s Roundup song from Toy Story 2, and that in turn lead to this picture and the title of this blog.  That’s just a little insight into my creative process for you.  You’re welcome.

So, what has been going on?  It’s been commission-crazy of late, which is lovely – making specific items with ready-and-waiting homes is a great feeling.  Cushions are being stitched, fabrics selected, dining chairs painted and finishing touches added to a range of products which will be zooming off to their happy owners over the next week or so.

Yesterday saw our last market for this year, down in Bethnal Green with The Vintage Furniture Flea.  Yet more homes found for more chairs – the Inside Outside Parker Knoll, and both the Greaves & Thomas armchairs were snapped up buy happy shoppers.  Bye bye beauties!

The trip home from London was a slow and rainy one, but somehow our route did manage to take us past every major London landmark – from the vantage point of the Happy Van we saw Big Ben, the London Eye, The Shard, Buckingham Palace (evening, your Majesty), Trafalgar Square, Nelson’s Column, The Mall, and Harrods, with their Christmas lights up!

Silver linings, people. Silver linings.

So, what’s coming up next?  More commissions, and some interesting new pieces for us – a wonderful Yugoslavian rocking chair is awaiting our attention, and promises to be something not only lovely, but also rather different.  A pair of Scandart lounge chairs are also high on the to-do list, so keep your eyes peeled!

Take care vintage fans,

H x
