Phew! What a weekend!
Sunday saw us down in London town, at the buzzing Bethnal Green Vintage Furniture Flea, where new owners and happy homes were found for these pieces of gorgeousness:
And astonishingly only ONE piece of cake was consumed (each). If you’ve ever had Pear of Peas cakes, you will realise what a feat of self restraint this is. The idea of a trader flash-mob was also raised (fully supported by The Happy Chair Company, of course), so all in all, an excellent day. If you missed us, don’t panic – we’re planning to be back in Bethnal on 6th November, and if you can’t wait that long, then venture to the West Country and catch us in Bristol on Sept 25th at The Paintworks.
Today is also an excellent day, but for different reasons – today our boy turns nine, so the moment I finish writing this I will be constructing a Tottenham Hotspur/Skullduggery Pleasant birthday cake, as requested. If you don’t know who Skulduggery Pleasant is, check out these books by Derek Landy – excellent character names, amongst other things. I’m assuming you all know what Tottenham Hotspur is, whether you want to or not. 🙂
So, I’m sorry it’s brief today, but cakes and football crazed nine year olds wait for no woman.
Til next week!
