And so, in the time honoured tradition of the British summer, on the day of our first market of the holidays, it rained. And rained. Bath was awash, you might say…Still, we kept our chins up and bellies full with hot tea and bacon rolls, and were rewarded with a good day of chatting to customers and selling and chatting to traders and stretching (standing up all days gets achy) and chatting some more…
So, all in all, a good day in the end. I do find rain a bit depressing, though. I try not to, but there it is. Hopefully, our next market at the end of the holidays (6th Sept at The East London Furniture Flea in Bethnal Green) will be a sunnier affair!
On the holiday theme, next week The Happy Chair Company is off on its hols – so no blog next week, but if you’re really lucky I’ll share endless photos with you when we get back. In the meantime, whilst the weather continues to be, sigh, wet and grey, I shall be having stern but ultimately positive words with myself, along the lines of this:
See you in two weeks!
